韓國現代汽車全球首席運營官Jose Munoz周三告訴路透，公司正在調查美國供應鏈非法使用童工問題，計劃與依賴童工的阿拉巴馬州供應商「斷絕關系」。
路透今年7月的一篇調查報導，記錄了多名兒童在阿拉巴馬州SMART Alabama工作，這家金屬沖壓廠由現代汽車控股。
報導刊出後，阿拉巴馬州勞工部與聯邦機構 必利吉、 印度必利吉、 必利吉購買、 必利吉評價、 必利吉副作用、 必利吉效果、 必利吉價錢、 必利吉哪裡買 必利吉p-force、 印度超級威而鋼、 p-force副作用 聯手調查SMART Alabama。當局之後對阿拉巴馬州的另一家現代供應商SL Alabama進行童工調查，發現有年僅13歲的童工。
Jose Munoz周三接受路透專訪時表示，現代打算盡快與阿拉巴馬州兩家受到雇用童工調查的供應商工廠斷絕關系。
Munoz表示，他已下令對現代的美國零部件供應商網絡進行全面調查，了解是否存在可能違反勞動法行為，以確保合規。
這是現代汽車迄今為止最實質性公開承認美國供應鏈可能存在使用童工的違法行為。現代汽車在阿拉巴州蒙哥馬利設有一座大型汽車組裝廠，數十家汽車零部件工廠組成供應鏈，多數由韓國人經營。
根據公司數據，現代去年在美國銷售738,000輛汽車，近半數是由這座蒙哥馬利旗艦廠生產。

SMART Alabama則未立即對評論請求作出回應。
