據俄新社20日報道，俄國防部發言人科納申科夫中將當天表示，烏克蘭軍隊在過去一晝夜試圖在赫爾松地區突破俄羅斯軍隊的防禦，但遭到重挫。
科納申科夫表示，烏克蘭軍隊試圖突破俄羅斯軍隊在赫爾松州新卡米揚卡-切爾沃尼亞爾居民點方向的防禦陣地，在前線狹窄地段動用了多達三個營，包括一個坦克營。「敵人甚至一度突破了俄軍的防禦陣地」。但俄軍指揮部將坦克預備隊投入戰鬥並在行動中設伏，「烏軍因此遭到重挫，各部紛紛逃竄」。科納申科夫還表示，目前赫爾松前線的局勢已經恢復。
